Internal Wet Areas

For this application two liquid-applied membranes are available.  duroQIK is a fast curing two-component membrane, while duroSET is a single pack latex membrane.  The duro membranes can be used interchangeably with duroQIK preferred in cooler climates or where tiling is undertaken after 24 hours.

Some membranes can re-emulsify after prolonged contact with water, particularly if they have not been allowed to cure properly or insufficient film thickness has been acheived.  As a result, they can lose their waterproofing properties.  Our duro™ systems, however, do not re-emulsify and can be used with confidence.

Both duro products are covered by a BRANZ Appraisal Certificate (No. 469 (2005)), which includes duroFIX, our high quality tile adhesive.  This gives you a complete substrate-to-tile system.
